Summer is always insanely busy on the non-business side of life for me.
It starts with Christmas, which is a most wonderful time of the year, but then there is the Other Most Wonderful Time Of The Year for me which is Chinese New Year, also known as Lunar New Year.
While I have dutifully sewed January away with my first batch of fish extenders plus the wholesale order, I have also been hyping myself up to help my local lion dance team with performances for Chinese New Year. I have been helping them with performances for 1, 2, 3 skip a few... well, a long time... and I keep going back each year because it is such an exciting time that I feel privileged to be a part of with lots of family and friends.
My store will remain open during this time with the following amendments to my advertised timelines:
- All orders placed between Friday 20th January 2023 and Sunday 5th February 2023 will be processed and mailed after Sunday 5th February (unless it is a fish extender in which case it will continue to be processed in April 2023)
- All replies (emails, DM's and comments on social media) may take 1-2 business days
Transparency is very much something I am learning about running this wonderful little enterprise. As I also have a full time job on top of all this, so my days have to change just a short while. My days will change from work-parenting-sewing to work-driving-drumming the night away!
It is a lot of fun and I cannot wait to give you a summary in February about it ^_^
