At the end of June we celebrated our daughter's first birthday!
We missed out on her baby shower and her 100 day celebrations. She also did not meet a lot of family and friends until she was close to 2 months old due to lockdowns in our city during peak COVID-19 times of 2021.
So this party was big. We do not think we will have such a big shindig again until she hits another milestone age.
The week before the party, one of my cousins kids had asked my mother whether there would be lollies to take home. Lolly bags are a pretty standard staple for kids parties, so it was a valid question from a curious kid.
Instead of sugary delights, I wanted to be sustainable but still fun for those under 10. I decided to make some fabric crowns which they can reuse for costume play at home. These are pictured in the photo for this blog along with the fantastic cake!
And maybe those crowns will appear here for purchase one day...
