2022 Reflection

2022 Reflection

The word of the year that gets announced by each of the major English dictionaries never seems to quite fit what my life has been. And my practical side says that does make sense, since there is just over 8 billion people in this world, and the word of the year tends to try and encompass everything that has happened in the lives of the 8 billion people.

My word of the year is "grateful". I did a reflection task as a part of a small business support course this year. Grateful was the feeling that kept surfacing as I wrote about things to do with my business that had worked, that I had learned from, that I was proud of, of those who encouraged me, and what motivated me.

I am grateful for this opportunity, for all the skills I have gained, for diving into my creativity, and for you. Somewhere along the road of life you know me, or have found me on socials, and followed this business endeavour of mine.

To say thanks for a wonderful 2022, all orders through my website will be 10% off from Boxing Day (26/12/2022) to New Years Eve (31/12/2022) - no minimum purchase amount required, the discount will automatically be applied at the checkout. It is the only time I'll be having a discount that does not require signing up to my mailing list. Though I of course would feel extra lucky if you signed up while you made a purchase too!

I will be posting regularly to socials during January but no new products are planned until late February-March. This is because January is going to be a busy month personally with Lunar New Year, returning to full-time work, and business-wise finishing up the fish-extender pre-orders and wholesale order. In amongst that I'll finish up planning Thymble Thyme's 2023 too. Currently it is a work in progress in my mind - some important dates, ideas and goals I want to achieve. Maybe my word for 2023 is going to be "flexible", as I figure this out? January will allow me to get it down on paper and start committing.

I wish you a very fun Christmas, a safe New Year and all the laughter and sunshine summer can bring!
